Bayston Hill Parish Council held its Annual Council meeting on Monday 9th May 2022. Councillor Caroline Clode was unanimously elected to be the new Chairman for 2022/23.

"It was a great privilege on Monday to be elected as Chair of Bayston Hill Parish Council. Firstly, I would like to thank my predecessor, Councillor Mark Underwood, for successfully leading BHPC during the previous two years. Mark did a fantastic job of keeping BHPC fully functioning throughout a global pandemic and his vision to achieve a ‘carbon neutral status’ by 2030 continues as he leads a group of volunteers to achieve this target.

"At present Bayston Hill Parish Council is made up of eleven councillors, who are willing give up their free time in order to provide services for the people of Bayston Hill. On Monday it was agreed to make improvements to the children’s play area on Longmeadow and in June we will be supporting the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Currently there are 4 vacancies on the Parish Council which we would love to see filled. If you are interested in becoming a councillor in Bayston Hill please contact the clerk, Julie Hodgkiss."

A request from our Chair, Cllr Mark Underwood: "I have received this today which I would like to share with you. Its important that we have a say in what is being proposed whether we agree or not so I would urge as many of you as possible to register an interest in being part of the focus groups that will be running from 26th to 31st May 2022 and to share this post with anyone you know who may not be on this group or does not have internet access, you will note in the document that they can request a telephone interview. I know no more than what I have shared so please do not direct any questions back to myself. "The document I have shared provides all the information you need to be able to register for the focus groups. "Thank You in anticipation that you will register."
