  1. ELECTION OF CHAIR

    Due to the resignation of Paul Breeze, the Council is required to elect a new Chair; the Chair shall sign his or her declaration of acceptance of office in the prescribed form before taking office

    In accordance with the Council‘s Code of Conduct, members shall withdraw from any discussion or vote for which they hold a disclosable pecuniary interest.

  4. PUBLIC SPEAKING/QUESTIONS AT COUNCIL MEETINGS

    To allow   members of the public the opportunity to speak on an item listed on the Agenda up to a maximum of 3 minutes.

  5. CO-OPTION OF COUNCILLORS

    To consider applications from two prospective Councillors for three current vacancies; Mr M Underwood and Ms D Wright;  To receive and witness Declarations of Acceptance of Office from successful applicants

  6. CONFIRMATION OF STRONG LOCAL CONNECTION

    To consider a request by Shropshire Council to confirm the local connection of Mr J Beharrell in accordance with its ‘Build Your Own’ Affordable Housing Scheme

    To agree and sign the minutes of the Full Council meeting held on Monday 10 June 2019;

    To receive a report on matters arising from the minutes of the Full Council Meeting held on Monday 10 June 2019;

    • Request for donation for Girl Guiding service trip
    • Road safety concerns, Lyth Hill Road
    • Community Infrastructure Levy – update on expressions of interest
    • Casual Vacancy – confirmation that no election has been called and request to fill the vacancy by co-option
    • REAction - Funding opportunity in Rea Brook Catchment to improve water quality.  To receive a short report from Cllr Hudson who attended the launch event on 18 July.
    • On the beat in Shropshire – Newsletter from new policing commander featuring Bayston Hill as latest We Don’t Buy Crime village
    • Shropshire Council – Review of Polling Stations
    • Shropshire Council – Review of ‘A’ Boards policy and process
    • Connecting Shropshire – Airband awareness literature

  10. PPL/PRS MUSIC LICENSE

    To note that the Council may be required to acquire a music license for recorded music at the youth and community building for some of its current activities (subject to confirmation).  To consider the implications of this

  11. AMENITIES MATTERS
    • Request for replacement nets on astro turf goals
    • Electric cable for bowling green sprinkler
    • Exchange of information on parish facilities
    • Street lighting improvements – to examine a sample lantern and consider a financial forecast for replacement of all remaining SOX / SON lanterns using an interest free loan
  12. TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

    To note the following training opportunities and authorise attendance as required:

    • Fundamentals for Councillors – 3 Oct 2019, 5 – 7:30pm, Lord Hill Hotel £27 – to consider a recommendation that new Councillors attend
    • New Web Accessibility Guidelines – 30 October 2019, 2 – 4pm, Lord Hill Hotel, £27 – to consider a recommendation that the Clerk attend
    • Be a Better Councillor – 2 September, Shirehall or 26 September , Telford, 10 – 4pm – to consider a recommendation that established Councillors attend
    • Budget Setting –24 September, Shirehall, 5 – 7:30pm; to consider a recommendation that the Clerk and members of the Finance Committee attend
    • SLCC National Conference – Oct 2019 - £375 two days; £130 one day; to consider a proposal that the Clerk attend

Members of the Public and Press are welcome to attend any meetings of the Parish Council or its Committees, although there are occasions when meetings must go into private session when dealing with matters of a confidential nature.

Speaking at a Meeting - You do not have the right to speak at a meeting unless invited to do so by the Council.  If you wish to speak then you must contact the Clerk beforehand or make yourself known to the Clerk at the start of the meeting.
