  2. DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTEREST

    Disclosure of any disclosable pecuniary interest in a matter to be discussed at the meeting and which is not included in the register of interests; Members are reminded that they are required to leave the room before the discussion and voting on matters in which they have a disclosable pecuniary interest.

  3. PUBLIC SPEAKING/QUESTIONS AT COUNCIL MEETINGS

    To allow members of the public the opportunity to speak on any item listed on the Agenda up to a maximum of 3 minutes; to receive a report from Shropshire Councillor

    To confirm the accuracy of the minutes of the Full Council meeting held on Monday 8 January 2018. 

     

  5. MINUTES OF COMMITTEE MEETINGS

    To adopt the approved minutes of the following committee meetings:                     

    Finance: 16 October 2017;             Planning: 20 Nov 2017 & 8 Jan 2018;

    Amenities 20 Nov 2017;                 Management and Personnel: 18 Dec 2017

  6. CLERK’S REPORT & CORRESPONDENCE
  7. COMMUNITY LED PLAN

    To receive an update on progress and note the final draft of the questionnaire to be distributed following appropriate formatting;  To approve any expenditure that may be required. (Questionnaire to follow)

  8. GRANT APPLICATION

    To consider a grant application from Oakmeadow School for an all-weather running track

  9. OUTDOOR GYM

    To consider the views expressed at the drop-in consultation to be held prior to the meeting as to where to site new outdoor fitness equipment.  To authorise the Clerk to apply for external funding and to authorise expenditure from the Council’s unspent 2017/18 budget.

  10. LYTH HILL MANAGEMENT SUMMARY

    To note and approve the report from Shropshire Council detailing expenditure of Parish funds at Lyth Hill Country Park and to note that the next meeting of the Lyth Hill Advisory Group will take place on Tuesday 6 March 2018 in the Memorial Hall at 7pm

  11. INTERNAL AUDIT

    To note and discuss the recommendations in the Interim Internal Audit Report arising from the February visit; To note and approve the Statement of Internal Controls dated 9 February 2018

  12. GENERAL RISK ASSESSMENT

    To review and update the Council’s general risk assessment

  13. CCLA DEPOSIT FUND INVESTMENT

    To consider and approve a recommendation from the Finance Committee that the Council invests its General Reserve in the CCLA Deposit Fund and to authorise the Clerk to make the necessary arrangements (Application form to be signed in meeting)

  14. UNITY BANK ACCOUNT

    To note progress towards opening a current account with Unity Bank and to authorise the transfer of a minimum of £500 into the account upon opening;  to authorise the transfer of up to £85,000 from the Co-operative Bank (Earmarked Reserve Fund)

  15. MEMORIAL TREE

    To approve and select a suitable tree to be planted in the Community Woodland in memory of a local resident (see letter attached)

  16. TRAINING & CODE OF CONDUCT

    The Council will be reminded of its obligations and commitments under the Members Code of Conduct and will note the forthcoming NALC review of Local Government Ethical Standards;  The Council will identify any training requirements and approve attendance as appropriate (see list of training courses attached)

  17. APPROVAL OF PAYMENTS
  18. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

    To pass a resolution to exclude the public under Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 (S1(2)) and in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 12 of the Local Government Act 1972; so as to discuss the following confidential matters.

Members of the Public and Press are welcome to attend any meetings of the Parish Council or its Committees, although there are occasions when meetings must go into private session when dealing with matters of a confidential nature.

Speaking at a Meeting - You do not have the right to speak at a meeting unless invited to do so by the Council.  If you wish to speak then you must contact the Clerk beforehand or make yourself known to the Clerk at the start of the meeting.
